Four’s August Round up

August brought a Fringe First Award, a landmark funding win for Salvesen Mindroom Centre, and a trilogy of accolades for Accountability.

These monthly updates seem to creep up on us faster and faster, almost as fast as the dreich weather and dark nights closing in. August was packed with big wins for our clients, and this month reminded us exactly why we love this job. Our clients are the heartbeat of our agency, and here's a look at what August had in store.

Four's Fringe Performers Headline This Year's Festival

From opening night to the final bow, August was a whirlwind of success for our Fringe performers. We supported an extraordinary range of productions from political comedy to classical tragedy and stories of identity and belonging.

Across seven productions, we secured over 150 pieces of coverage, 850M+ opportunities to view, stellar reviews in The Times, The Guardian and The Financial Times, and a Fringe First Award-winner among the acts we supported. The Made in Scotland Showcase was another highlight, spotlighting homegrown musical talent on the global stage and generating almost 4M OTV across regional and trade media.

A Trilogy of Accolades for Accountability

This month we celebrated Accountability, an Edinburgh-based financial services business, on a trilogy of national recognition: a place on the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026 list, B Corp certification, and one of the UK's first flexible workspace accreditations. We secured 14 pieces of coverage across Scottish news, business and trade titles already generating new business enquiries, alongside a series of founder-led content to build the company's expertise and profile.

A Landmark Funding Win for Salvesen Mindroom Centre

In our four-year partnership with Salvesen Mindroom Centre, our focus has been on amplifying the impact of their work so more families can find support. So, it was a real highlight to share the news that Mindroom has been selected as one of just 10 organisations receiving funding through the Scottish Government's £20m Whole Family Support Third Sector Delivery Fund. Recognition of three years of work raising awareness of the vital support it provides to neurodivergent people and their families across Scotland.

Looking Ahead to September

As the 2026/27 season kicks off, we're proud to continue our sponsorship of Watsonian Football Club, supporting the Men's 1XV, Women's squad and Watsonian Warriors both on and off the pitch.

September is the biggest month of the year for Sepsis Research, with Sepsis Awareness Month and World Sepsis Day landing back-to-back. We're building on last year's success with student case studies and some exciting national coverage in the pipeline.  A huge thank you to all our clients and performers for letting us play a part in your story.
