Situated at Kirkliston on the outskirts of Edinburgh, family run for family fun Conifox Adventure Park and Indoor Activity Centre is a popular visitor attraction and the perfect place to enjoy some family time with kids of every age. In 2021, following a £2m investment, Conifox launched the new 35,700 sq ft, Indoor Activity Centre, featuring an indoor soft play, three party rooms, café and 200-seater function suite.

The aim was to create awareness around the opening of the Indoor Activity Centre and to continue positioning Conifox as a key attraction in the UK, and a leader in the eyes of the regional and national press, while highlighting the new offering across different sectors. It was also important to showcase the impact of this impressive expansion across the community, boosting employment opportunities upon opening and creating both an exciting new all-weather attraction and an adaptable and versatile space where multiple events could be hosted, thus highlighting the family’s innovative and ambitious approach.

Four Marketing Agency spearheaded a media relations campaign curating extensive, bespoke lists of key press and influencer invitees for the VIP launch and subsequent official opening attended by Sir Chris Hoy. Press releases were crafted and issued for both events.

An extensive FAQ document was created for the media and dedicated briefs were also created for photography and videography, working with external providers to deliver these key services. Four teams were on the ground at both launches to assist both mainstream media and social media influencers. During the campaign Four Marketing Agency not only relied on existing strong media relationships, but forged new alliances to maximise coverage and exposure.

A successful media campaign which amplified the key developments of Conifox Adventure Park’s newly unveiled Indoor Activity Centre. A total of 25 pieces of coverage - including but not limited to Edinburgh Live, Daily Record and Edinburgh Evening News - and more than 28,330,758 opportunities to view was achieved and a high volume of social media coverage generated.
