The Brief

Floors Castle brings more than an esteemed history to the Scottish Borders - it is known to host a line-up of fantastic summer events for both locals and tourists to enjoy.
We were asked to provide press and event support for Floors Castle’s three Summer events; Dino Floors, Roxburghe Rocks and Broken Book - the summer trail.

The Strategy
Our team created a tailored PR strategy to make Floors Castle’s dream, a reality. This included...

  1. Developing a strong press presence to raise awareness about the events at Floors Castle, including drafting press releases, arranging media reviews and monitoring for reactive PR opportunities.
  2. Identifying and then creating a strategic communications strategy to drive awareness of all three events amongst key target audiences.
  3. Liaising with editors, journalists and influencers to create an impactful outreach strategy.


The Impact

We secured 51 pieces of coverage, achieving an OTS of over 78.5 million.

We oversaw Floor Castle’s three events, securing coverage for each in top-tier Scottish national and regional titles, including The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sunday Mail, The Border Telegraph, Edinburgh Evening News and Visit Scotland.

We also provided Floors Castle with a long-term PR strategy, covering ongoing media relations, seasonal event recommendations, press trip and influencer advice, and potential PR stunts.
